Possessing a beautiful diamond engagement ring can no doubt turn heads. Using today’s science and the man-made capacity to turn pure carbon into a diamond, a synthetic diamond engagement ring can trick even the best jewelers.
We’ve come quite a distance since the cubic zirconia that was all the rage in 1976. Quite an attractive option for those that could not pay for the real thing, cubic zirconia, or CZ, appeared so perfect that it favored being phony. Some designers would throw in some imperfections and shading just so the CZ would look more like a real gem.

Although people often think that artificial diamonds are easy to identify from naturally mined diamonds, in actuality, the average person would have trouble telling the two apart. Depending on the variety of artificial diamond, they are often hard to tell from natural diamonds because they have the same or similar chemical composition.
The term artificial diamond refers to man-made diamonds which are manufactured by several different techniques. In the case of cubic zirconium, the material itself is different, being made from the cubic crystalline form of zirconium dioxide. Cubic zirconium, because of how it is made, is visually flawless and in its most preferred form, totally colorless. It is quite lovely and brilliant and much less expensive to purchase, but is not as hard as mined diamonds.

Fake diamonds seem to possess a negative connotation nowadays. Perhaps it will take quite some time before fake diamonds will have a good image. A lot of people are asking, what are these so-called fake diamonds? Let’s face it, diamonds are everywhere. There are lots of colors, kinds, sizes, and shapes of diamonds. These fake diamonds that we’re referring to aren’t diamonds that are downright shams and not dull. These fake diamonds are also called simulant diamonds. Simulant diamonds are not the same as synthetic diamonds. Nonetheless, simulant diamonds are also lab-grown diamonds. These diamonds undergo certain scientific processes that imitate the natural process of creating diamonds.
The two ways in which simulant diamonds are created are through CVD, also known as chemical vapor deposition and HPHT, which is the abbreviation for high pressure and high temperature. High pressure and high temperature is a more basic and more crude method of crafting these simulant diamonds. Essentially, just like how diamonds were created nearly 3 billion years ago, a piece of carbon is exposed to enormous pressure and heat in order to come up with a sparkling diamond.

After so many years of ruling the diamond industry, the De Beers have finally found their match brought about an unprecedented scientific advancement in creating diamonds. These synthetic or lab grown diamonds are absolutely magnificent that it is being viewed to take over the monopoly of the De Beers.
What precisely man made diamonds? Man-made diamonds are artificially made diamonds. These diamonds are created through a process called CVD or chemical vapor deposition. In essence, the way this works is by enabling diamonds to grow one at a time for crystals. With the help of extremely high pressures and temperatures, the diamonds are able to attain the kind of quality that natural diamonds possess. In a 12 hour period; the diamonds will be able to grow into one full carat. This is a remarkable breakthrough considering that engagement rings only bear a diamond that’s less than one carat.

Synthetic diamonds, as the title suggests, is a diamond that is man-made. The way this works is more or less the same way that earth does it when it first made diamonds in its core more than 3.3 billion years ago.

Scientific advancements have now brought the consistency and the quality of a faux diamond to an almost indistinguishable form. Brought about some scientific breakthrough, faux diamonds are practically indistinguishable by an untrained eye. In addition to that, even specialized eyes will have a difficult time telling which one isn’t real and which one is. The only way to tell the difference is through powerful microscopes or loupes.
Affordability – Perhaps the biggest advantage of faux diamonds is its affordability in comparison with real diamonds. With exceptional quality and consistency, it is hard to say that people will turn these precious gems down. Having said that, these faux diamonds will definitely take over real diamonds.

A Diamond has always been considered a woman’s best friend. Through the years, diamonds have created problems, conflicts, and certain environmental concerns. Some people believe that the problems that diamonds cause are becoming obsolete because of the emergence of lab-grown diamonds. People are initially fooled by the term by which it is called. In previous years, synthetic or lab-grown diamonds had a negative connotation. Today, they are highly accepted by everyone not just for its consistent composition that is almost identical with a natural diamond and for its quality, but because synthetic diamonds were able to solve the problems that natural diamonds have stirred up.
You see, behind the gleaming beauty and elegance of a naturally acquired diamond is the dark story of how it was taken and the negative effects that it imposes on the environment. You have to put in mind that when you are buying a natural diamond, you are condoning child labor and other inhumane practices. Most of the time, people from Africa would kill just so they could find a diamond and sell it in the market.
