PMC (PMC) is really a clay-like medium used for a variety of artistic pursuits. It consists of water, an organic binding material, and tiny particles of either silver or gold. Various other metal clays exist on the market and can contain silver, platinum, copper, and gold. There are varieties that contain alloys as well, including steel and bronze.
Metal clay containing alloys is less expensive as the metals themselves carry smaller price tags. Precious metals are more expensive, increasing the price of the clay that contains them. The price of the metal in the clay determines the price range for the medium, as well as the appearance, quality, and value of the items created with it.

Just off the Venetian shoreline in Italy rests the Island of Murano, a historic trading port and the home of Murano glass. Venice was a commercial trading port since the 7th century and it’s believed that Murano glass making actually has its roots in 9th-century Roman artistry, though there are also strong Asian and Muslim influences present as well.
With travelers, merchants, tradesmen, and artisans descending on Venice from all parts of the world for centuries, Murano glassmakers had ample opportunity to absorb the techniques and styles of artisans from around the world. As early as the 10th century, Venice was one of the most well-known trade cities in Europe, and Murano remains today a popular destination for tourists, artists, jewelry makers, and lovers of fine art glass.

Chinese culture is ancient, with long-standing traditions. The Chinese people frequently interacted with others in ancient times, trading with people the world over and welcoming visitors from other nations to the Emperor’s court. This changed in the early 1400s when China’s policies of open international relations were quashed.
The country isolated itself and its people from the rest of the world. To a large extent, this closed door policy lasted for centuries, only beginning to change in the 1970s when China agreed to begin trading with the Western world again. The long isolationist policy of the Chinese government allowed the Chinese people to maintain a connection with ancient traditions that most other cultures do not come close to having.

There are many Jewish holidays and celebrations that are important to the culture. From Passover and Hanukkah to Yom Kippur and Purim, the list is long and cherished by the Jewish community. In addition, there are two other very important celebrations that take place in the lives of younger Jewish people: the Bar Mitzvah and the Bat Mitzvah, the coming of age ceremonies for Jewish boys turning 13 or Jewish girls turning 12, respectively, are recognized as being adults who are responsible for their actions from that day forward. For a girl’s Bat Mitzvah it is important and traditional to bring a gift that she can treasure as a part of the celebration for years to come. Here are 10 great gift ideas to give you a head start in choosing the right gift for her.
1. Savings bond or cash – There is nothing that a 12-year-old likes more than receiving money for their coming of age celebration. Starting a savings bond or giving them cash to save for the future is a great idea. This can teach them to be frugal with their money and help them learn that saving is always a good thing to do. Many times in the Jewish culture they give bonds in increments of 18 because that number is important in the Jewish culture. The Hebrew word for life (chai) has a numeric value of 18.

Swarovski is one of the world’s most recognized manufacturers of crystal items. It is a company that has grown to astronomical proportions after getting its start in a small family-owned and operated business. The business came into being during the latter part of the 19th century and has successfully made its way into the 21st century.
The founder of Swarovski is Daniel Swarovski who began his journey as an apprentice to his father in a Bohemian glass foundry. Bohemian glass was well known in Europe and America at the time for its unique and intricate style of crystal glass. The affordability of Bohemian crystal initially made it what it was but the Swarovski name and talent added a degree of sophistication and craftsmanship to the designs that rivaled the most well-crafted crystal in the world.

Crafts have always been a great way for families to spend time with each other, learning and exploring new ways to create wonderful works of art to share. Parents are always looking for new and innovative ways to have fun with their children without spending a lot of money, and crafts are a great way to accomplish that. You can help your children to unlock their imaginations with crafts and create their own special masterpieces. This is also a great way for you to spend some quality time with your kids and perhaps create something new and neat together. Here are five examples of good craft projects to help you get started.
1. You or your child on paper: This is a fun and entertaining craft project that you and the kids can do. You will need to purchase some large pieces of paper, preferably packing paper, leftover wallpaper or the end of a roll of newsprint from the local newspaper. You have your child lie down on the sheet of paper and then you trace the shape of their body. You should use a pencil for this so you don’t get ink on their skin or clothes. Once you have finished tracing them on the paper they can take it and draw the face, hair and also add clothes and accessories. You can even purchase things like glitter or gemstones to give it some bling. You can also have your child trace you and any siblings, and join them in decorating the figures. This is great fun for all ages.
